The alignment between the shaft on a Plummer / Pillow bock can vary significantly, a common solution for overcoming this issue is to use larger clearances to accommodate this misalignment. AESSEAL® use a unique two-piece stator design that provides a self-aligning joint allowing the seal to align to both the bearing block and the shaft. The joint also provides constant pressure on the static elastomer to provide positive sealing throughout the full range of motion found in Plummer / Pillow block applications.
